Position:  Order Management Specialist – Meat/Poultry/Seafood Focus

 

Position Summary:  Team Member will perform a multitude of clerical duties for the NDC purchasing teams in support of the Stores.

 

Will Do:

  • Work with stores and vendors in the North East and North Atlantic Regions in a polite and professional manner to resolve any issues presented.
  • Provide superior customer service.
  • Work closely with internal teams to act as the liaison between the team leaders, team members, and store representatives.
  • High volume of computer and phone work in a highly interactive environment.
  • Answer, direct calls, and respond to calls and e-mails in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
  • Assist with the in-house ordering, receiving, and shipping clerical systems.
  • Maintain store catalogs and order processing.
  • Process store credits and support ways to reduce shrink.
  • Review store returns in warehouse and escalate issues as needed.
  • Assist Distribution and Buying departments in general administrative support.
  • Perform light accounting entries.

 

Must Have/Be:

  • Professional telephone etiquette and superior customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal.
  • Strong computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Solid administrative and data entry skills and experience.
  • Knowledge/experience with EXE, OrderLink, PeopleSoft and/or warehouse knowledge/experience
  • Ability to solve problems by collecting and analyzing information, evaluating options and responding quickly.
  • Must be an extremely diplomatic/congenial manner when assisting with issue resolution.
  • Must have an investigative nature.
  • Fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to cope with stress in a productive manner.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays generally between 6 am - 5:30 pm or to completion.
  • Able to meet deadlines and assume additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Extremely organized and able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Proven ability to be a team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic, self motivated, flexible, and adaptable.
  • Willingness to contribute ideas/suggestions to the facility.
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. as needed in a refrigerated environment.
  • Whole Foods Market Experience a plus.
